Technology

Charter
The Consortium for Applied Acoustoelectronic
Technology (CAAT) is a part of the University of Central Florida (UCF), a
comprehensive university with an enrollment of 26,000 students. The College
of Engineering (COE) supports multidisciplinary engineering with an enrollment
of approximately 3500 students; offering advanced degrees at the MS and Ph.D.
levels.
The focus and expertise of CAAT is in
acoustoelectronic solid state devices and related technologies. Each of the
areas emphasize theoretical development, device modeling, fabrication and
testing, and system applications. Research activities are integrated with
the instructional programs to provide well trained students with analytic
and experimental backgrounds.
